Dr. Mark Cox is a New Mexico native who graduated from the Colorado State University school of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. He built the El Abrigado Animal Clinic in 1989 and has been engaged in a private practice since. “This noble profession has stimulated and motivated me for the last 39 years. Benjamin Blandin is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to El Paso in 2003. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Agriculture, majoring in Animals Science and minoring in Biochemistry. Dara Pearce has been a veterinary technician in AZ and TX for over four years. She is currently attending Penn Foster University to obtain her vet tech certification. In her spare time she enjoys traveling to rodeos, barrel racing at a professional level. With her tech experience and skills she has learned in the veterinary profession, she is able to maintain her own dog breeding business, raising miniature Australian shepherds. |

Blanca Cano is the newest member of our staff. She previously worked at an insurance agency. Blanca has known Dr. Cox for many years and was glad to come work for him. She is an animal lover and “I absolutely love my job, in the short time here I have met such wonderful people, and it has been a great experience. Sherry Dougherty is a third-generation El Pasoan. She has been a veterinary technician since 2010. She is furthering her education through Penn Foster University, working her way toward her certification, as a registered veterinarian technician. |
